The World of Intisar was ecstatic to put on its first ever Red Carpet event On Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 12-3pm at Delco’s historic MJ Freed Theater located in Chester PA’s downtown area. In honor of Intisar’s new interview series, “First Ladies of Chester,” the audience was able to enjoy a special sneak peek of the webisodes before its official release to the general public later on this year.
It was an awesome event, and everyone looked the part as all the ladies came dressed to impress! Our first 10 little ladies even got the chance to model their outfits for the crowd. However, the pinnacle of the event was creating a space where the five historic women featured in the series could have a chance to talk to our future history makers; the young ladies came prepared with engaging questions, and they were met with equally intriguing responses.

Donye Price- The first African American female firefighter in Chester, PA.
Tara Jones- The first owner of a Cultural Arts and Technology Center in Chester, PA.
Carol Kazeem- The first female to win the Democratic primary for the 159th district.
Judge Dawn Vann- The first female Republican Magisterial Judge for District 32-1-21.
